Job Scope
The Project Assistant will provide administrative support to project managers and teams throughout the project lifecycle. This includes assisting with planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, coordinating meetings, tracking project progress, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Maintain accurate records of project documentation including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
Coordinate meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders; prepare agendas and minutes.
Track project milestones and deliverables; report on progress to project managers.
Support the procurement process by assisting in vendor selection and contract negotiations.
Facilitate communication between team members to ensure alignment on project goals.
Conduct research as needed to support project initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of presentations for stakeholders.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Assistant or similar role in construction or engineering environments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in preparing reports and presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and safety regulations is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
